The Global Hackathon Judging Committee – consisting of Microsoft Product Team members Amanda Cofsky, Tessa Hurr, Kelly Kaye, and Will Thompson and 2018 Global Hackathon Winning Denmark Power BI User Group Leaders Erik Svensen and Just Thorning Blindbæk – remarked that the Team’s solution was visually very compelling, with a well-presented story. Great, easy to follow navigation around the report and beautiful drillthroughs. The global hackathon has provided our worldwide Power BI User Group community with a fun and competitive opportunity to use Power BI to entertain, educate, and inspire people and facilitate positive change through the data stories that are visualized. Starting with local competitions, these teams were selected as the top teams in their local Power BI User Groups hackathon challenges. Teams were instructed to use data sets from public data sources only, and solutions could be built with either Desktop, Excel, Power BI Service, Embedded, or with any combination of these options.
