Microsoft Power BI achieves HITRUST CSF certification

In the healthcare industry, the HITRUST Common Security Framework was developed to help address the multitude of security, privacy and regulatory challenges facing organizations today.  Developed by IT and healthcare professionals, the CSF provides a highly prescriptive framework for managing a diverse set of federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks.

Today, Microsoft is pleased to announce that Power BI has been certified under the HITRUST CSF 8.1 certification criteria.  This marks another step in ensuring organizations can meet their unique regulatory and compliance requirements with Power BI.  In addition to HITRUST, Power BI has obtained 22 certifications and attestations.  We operate Power BI with strict standards for privacy and protection of customer data.  Power BI is available in 12 regions globally to serve the diverse needs of our customers, including three national cloud regions with a unique model for local regulations on service delivery, data residency, access, and control.
