On-premises data gateway July 2021 update is now available

We are happy to announce that we have just released the July update for the On-premises data gateway (version 3000.89.6)

 

 

Here are some of the things that we would like to highlight with this month’s  release:

  • FHIR and Amazon Athena connectors available via the on-premises data gateway
  • Compatible with the July PBI desktop

 FHIR  connector available via the on-premises data gateway

We are happy to announce that you can now connect from Power BI to Microsoft Cloud for Health using the FHIR connector via the on-premises data gateway with this release . Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources(FHIR) is a new standard for healthcare data interoperability. Amazon Athena connector available via the on-premises data gateway

You can now connect to Amazon Athena and refresh your datasets via the on-premises data gateway starting with the July gateway release.

Compatible with July PBI Desktop 

This version of the gateway will ensure that the reports that you publish to the Power BI Service and refresh via the Gateway will go through the same query execution logic/run-time as in the July Power BI Desktop version.
