It’s been another busy month for the Power BI team. Each week, we’ve released updates to the Power BI service, rolling out new features and improving existing. Worried you missed something? Fear not! Below, we’ll recap all the features we’ve released in February.
Power BI dashboards are optimized to monitor the status of your business at a glance. Business applications are optimized to manage your business. Wouldn’t it be great if you could monitor your business in the right context of a business application and, for example, see your customer profitability analysis from within your CRM application? You can do that! We have recently enabled embedding Power BI dashboards into your business applications, allowing you to stay focused on your work while still monitoring familiar Power BI dashboards.
As you probably know, the Power BI service is updated weekly with fixes, updates, and new features. When we release major features in the service, we always to make sure to release a coinciding blog post, so you can stay up-to-date with the latest features in the service. Going forward, in addition to these posts for individual features, we’ll be posting monthly feature summaries for the Power BI service, similar to the posts you know and love for Power BI Desktop. Today, I am happy to announce an exciting new update to the Power BI connector for Microsoft Flow. Coming hot on the heels of our data alert Flow trigger, we have added a new action which pushes rows of data to a Power BI streaming dataset.
